One Piece episode 966 is titled as ‘Roger’s Wish! A New Journey!’. The fight between Roger and Whitebeard will go on for three days and three nights with no one emerging victorious. Once the fight ends, the pirate banquet starts where both the pirate groups interact with each other. Shanks and Buggy meet Blackbeard for the first time as both are apprentice pirates on their ships.
Roger wanted to meet the samurai from Wano for the last one year and they finally met. Roger wants to go to the last island Laughtale and in order to do so, he must find all the four red poneglyphs. This is when Oden tells him that Kozuki are the one who made the Poneglyph and he is able to read and write those mysterious texts. Roger now gets more interested in Oden and asks Whitebeard to loan him for next one year. Whitebeard gets furious that Roger is asking for one of his crewmates whom he considers a younger brother. But Oden wants to go and asks for one year leave. This is how the journey of Roger and Oden together begins.
